Nestled between towering skyscrapers and bustling neighborhoods, Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport was a marvel of aviation, renowned for its breathtaking approach.

Planes would glide low over the city, weaving between buildings before landing, an exhilarating spectacle that left passengers in awe.

For Stephen Howard, this vivid memory springs to life as he recalls sitting in the cockpit’s jump seat as a child, captivated by the vibrant energy of Hong Kong below.

“Hong Kong captivated me from the moment I stepped into the cockpit of a Cathay Pacific 747-400 to land at Kai Tak. As we soared through what felt like between the buildings, it was evident from the outset that this city offers a different perspective on all angles of life and is anything but normal.”

Arbuthnot Road is more than just a street for Girish Jhunjhnuwala, the founder of Ovolo Hotels.

It’s where his family home once stood, rich with memories that shaped his identity.

Growing up in Hong Kong’s vibrant Central district, Girish was inspired by the lively energy around him, fuelling his passion for hospitality.

Today, Ovolo Central, the first hotel established by Ovolo, proudly stands on this cherished street.

This hotel serves as a tribute to his roots, blending comfort and local charm while reflecting the city’s dynamic spirit.

Through Ovolo Central, Girish not only honours his past but also invites others to experience the vibrant essence of Hong Kong that has always inspired him.

BeCandle於15年前由設計師Xavier曾首彥創辦，由一個人的小工作室到西貢街坊組成的小團隊，透過不斷摸索、實驗、到世界各地擺攤檔和展覽，和不同的本地、國際大小品牌合作，發展至今日擁有本地生產工廠和店舖的香氛品牌。憑着對香味工藝的熱誠和探索精神，一直保持着多方面的可持續發展模式，包運用可持續天然原材料、運作多年的蠟燭重注服務、以回收廢料如地盤泥土、工業咖啡渣滓、花墟落地花材、甚至退役電車零件再造乘香薰產品，至近年和志願團體合作建立生產線為有需要的低收入群體和需特別照顧青年提供工作機會。

香港首對大熊貓雙胞胎BB誕生啦！🎉🐼

香港首對大熊貓雙胞胎BB誕生啦！🎉🐼

今年，香港迎來咗屬於自己嘅大熊貓BB！呢對雙胞胎被親切地叫做「細佬」同「家姐」，佢哋嘅媽媽盈盈已經19歲，成為全球最年長嘅新手大熊貓媽媽！呢個奇蹟多得海洋公園動物護理團隊嘅悉心照顧同對大熊貓護理以及繁殖行為嘅深入了解。

其實，大熊貓係獨居嘅動物，通常每年3月至5月嘅繁殖季節先會短暫「約會」，交配之後，爸爸媽媽會分開，由媽媽獨自撫養BB。喺海洋公園，團隊每年都會喺繁殖季節留意盈盈同樂樂嘅行為，幫佢哋營造合適嘅環境，促進自然交配。

盈盈成功誕下雙胞胎之後，團隊亦全力支持佢做媽媽，利用育嬰箱幫手照顧兩隻BB，仲用帶有BB氣味嘅毛公仔，幫盈盈同仔女建立親密感。同時，佢哋亦希望俾盈盈充分嘅時間學習點樣做一個好媽媽，陪伴BB成長至2至3歲，享受呢段珍貴嘅親子時光。

呢次成功誕下雙胞胎，唔單止係一個開心嘅消息，仲反映咗海洋公園對優質動物護理嘅堅持同承諾！

余仁生同浸大聯合出書，仲勁過Wikipedia？

提到余仁生，大家第一時間會諗起百年信譽嘅中醫藥保健企業，但其實呢個超過140年歷史嘅品牌，仲做咗一件突破傳統嘅事——全力支援浸會大學中醫藥學院，聯合出版咗一本專業級嘅中藥材圖鑑《香港中藥材圖鑑》。

呢本書嘅誕生背後有一個重要嘅原因：由於中藥材品種眾多，名稱相近嘅藥材經常容易混淆，甚至引致安全風險。例如，附子同生附子雖然名稱相似，但實際性質差異極大，後者更加含有毒性；又例如滇烏鹼與烏頭鹼名稱相近，但滇烏鹼毒性明顯更強。為咗澄清呢啲混亂，建立中藥材嘅標準，《香港中藥材圖鑑》以「澄清混亂，建立標準」為宗旨，收錄咗多種本地常見嘅中藥材，詳細研究藥材品質，確保用藥安全有效，對推動中醫藥學嘅現代化發展有重大意義。

呢本書唔單止詳細記錄咗香港常見嘅中藥材特徵、用途同檢測方法，仲結合傳統智慧同現代科學，提供準確同權威嘅專業知識，成為中醫藥界重要嘅參考書籍。比起一般網上資訊，呢本圖鑑內容經過實證同驗證，資料專業性及準確度極高，甚至有人話佢「仲勁過Wikipedia」。

透過呢本書，余仁生提升咗中藥材嘅可靠性，成功將中醫藥推向現代化同專業化，更拉近咗中醫文化同普羅大眾嘅距離，展現咗傳統品牌喺創新路上嘅無限可能。
